Susan Ingram has over 30 years experience as a lawyer, mediator, conflict management and negotiation specialist, and business and life coach.
In her practice as an attorney, Susan has held high level positions in corporate legal departments, negotiating agreements in the areas of marketing and advertising, sports sponsorships and financial services. She was General Counsel for a media company, and has had a solo law practice in New York City for many years.
More recently, Susan has focused her professional endeavors in the areas of mediation, conflict management, and business and life coaching because of the potential this work affords for helping people make constructive changes in their lives. In her mediation practice, she specializes in divorce, elder, and workplace mediation. She also designs and leads workshops on ‘engaging with conflict’ that enable participants to develop new perspectives for resolving their disputes and empowering their relationships.
For many years, Susan has also been an advocate for children with disabilities. Her interest and commitment in this area evolved from the issues she had to address while raising her son, who is dyslexic and has Type 1 diabetes. She is currently the President of the Learning Disabilities Association of NYC and co-founder of the Parents Diabetes Network of NYC.
Susan received her Juris Doctor degree from St. John’s University School of Law and is licensed to practice law in New York State. She attended New York University as an undergraduate, where she received a B.A. in Spanish Language and Literature. Additionally, she is certified as a coach by the International Coach Federation.
