“Be careful what you ask for because you might get it” has rang true more often then not….but…in a manner unforeseen. Yeah, you get what you want, but sometimes with a whole bunch of other things you may not have been prepared for.
Separation/Divorce can be messy no matter how amicable the decision may be. It’s not only about the law and paperwork but the acceptance of change in life, so yes, although I can see why one party or both may want to take a step back and regroup, you have to remember your choices not only effect you by them as well.
Great metaphor about the approach-avoidance many people feel whenever they have to make an important decision.
