Given the world we live in, I was impressed by a quote from Doris Kearns Goodwin’s book, Leadership in Turbulent Times. The quote is attributed to Abraham Lincoln and told by Teddy Roosevelt, who was blamed by both sides during a contentious coal strike. Lincoln’s words are worth remembering and taking to heart as we wrestle with contentious events and decisions in our own lives.
