In my last video, I discussed how life is stressful for growing children and as parents, we shouldn’t expose them to our adult conflict. In this video, I discuss when and how to tell the children about your divorce or separation.
When? There is never a good time to tell your children, but I suggest you wait until you have a parenting plan in place.
How? The most important thing is to sit them down and tell them together.
In this blog, I also recommend the book Helping Your Kids Cope with Divorce the Sandcastles Way by Gary Neuman.
