Ada Hasloecher from the Divorce and Family Mediation Center discusses the challenges of mediating with a client who has a victim mentality. She shares a case where a client remained stuck in past grievances and was influenced by external voices. To address this, Ada had a separate conversation with the client (with the spouse’s permission) to highlight the financial risks of litigation and successfully persuaded her to continue mediation.
