One of the big issues for couples in their 50s is job insecurity. Let’s say that I’ve got clients who are both 58 years old. Jennifer and Jack. They both work but Jennifer is under Jack’s health insurance. She’s not going to be eligible for Medicare until she’s 65 in seven years. Once the judgment of divorce is signed by the judge, she can get COBRA benefits but they can be expensive and only last for three years. So, how do we deal with this?
