Can’t, Won’t, Don’t, Couldn’t, Shouldn’t, Wouldn’t. What do these words have in common? They all end with the negative “n’t.” As a mediator, I hear these phrases all the time. A lot of times, we don’t know what something is but can ultimately, define what it by what it’s not. While listening to the things that a person doesn’t want, I’m also listening to that little pocket of what is possible, and focus on that.
