Before marriage, couples should openly discuss religion and spirituality—whether shared, different, or evolving. These conversations are vital not only if you plan to raise children, but also for understanding how each partner practices, participates in rituals, and respects the other’s beliefs. Being aligned now (or at least supportive) helps avoid conflict later and builds mutual respect for each other’s spiritual choices.
