In my last video blog, I went over the Child Support Standards Act and gave you a general overview of what this statute does. In this second video of the series, I go into what statements you need to determine your gross income(s), which is not what you take home, but what you actually earn. Once that amount is established, you are permitted to deduct certain expenses for the purpose of calculating child support. At that point, you have what is called your adjusted gross income(s), which is the amount used to calculate child support.
