At the NYSCDM conference this year, I attended a very interesting session with five matrimonial and family court judges who talked about child support and maintenance, and how they addressed those issues in their court. As mediators, we know this, but hearing it from them really, really hit home, and that is this — they can do whatever the heck they want!
